Writing for children has been my creative outlet for close to 30 years. I’ve enjoyed studying the craft and connecting with other writers. I’ve had short pieces published in magazines and various anthology projects. I'm excited to share that I have a children’s picture book coming out with Crossway, and two more upcoming picture books with Paraklesis Press.

My daughter, Ellen Injerd, and I work together as an author-illustrator team for the books published with Paraklesis Press.

I love creating books and stories for young readers. Thank you so much for dropping by!

Mole and Duck in The Case of the Missing Glasses

Mole can’t find her glasses! Her poetry group will be coming soon. They’re expecting Mole to read her poems, but she can’t read without her glasses. Oh, no! What will she do? Why, she’ll call her friend, Detective Duck, of course. He’s good at finding things. Come along with Mole and Duck on a fun and silly search for Mole’s missing glasses.

On Valentine’s favorite holiday, he was busy baking heart-shaped cookies when he noticed a new neighbor moving...

He pulled his tuxedo shell from the closet and tried it on.

SQUEEEEEEZE

“It’s a little snug,” he squeaked.

Perhaps he should shed a few pounds before the bash. He glanced at the calendar. And soon!

Jasper nibbled on greens.

His tummy rumbled.

He jogged through the park.

He tripped and tumbled.

Jasper stepped on the...
